Cuckoo Hall Academy's main entrance in Cuckoo Hall Lane, Edmonton N9
Cuckoo Hall Academy is a four-form entry state primary Academy, located in Cuckoo Hall Lane, Edmonton, London N9.
Cuckoo Hall has 960 pupils.
Cuckoo Hall was one of the first first primary "Academy-convertors" in England in September 2010, allowing it to report directly into the Department for Education and step outside of Local Borough control.
In 2011-12 Cuckoo Hall underwent an extensive refurbishment and expansion programme, costing more than £5 million, which included new external play areas, a huge new grass playing field, two brand new dining halls, a state-of-the-art new kitchen, a new Apple Mac suite, several new classrooms and nine new breakout areas around the school called "pods" for 'small groups' work. The facelift programme also included a superb new energy-efficient heating and boiler system, as well as new (replacement) double-glazed windows throughout the academy, to retain heat in the winter and to stay cool in the summer.
